Sunday morning ramblings...

Good morning.. hoping this will post... blogger has been soooooo annoying.. followers here.. then gone..ooh there they are back again...lol... posting some times yes.. then no.. very tiring.... We have had a week of rain and very cool weather.. actual frost the other night.. everything has perked up nicely though except for 1 peony and the gerber daisy I got for Mother's Day... Someone really needs to get out here and get all the grass out of the rock garden...lol

Otherwise just been working and trying to stay warm.. did paint all friday afternoon.. can't remember the last time I had a friday off.. and we didn't pick Chaya up until saturday afternoon... so here's a pic of one of the things I finished.... was very happy and felt so good to just hang out and paint.. will really have to do that more often...

This post has taken all day to write.. we've been busy busy.. all the garden.. such as it is (but that is a whole other story...lol).. is planted.. flowers planted.. I have holes everywhere.. and everything has been watered and rewatered.. one of the tools in the little canvas gardening tote I got Chaya .. has a watering can/sprayer on it.. have no idea how many times it was refilled...lol.

Anyways.. off to bed for me.. am sure she will be up bright and early...lol... Hope everyone had a lovely day and thanks for stopping by.. will catch up on everything asap...

Long Weekends....

They are wonderful if you don't have to work most of it...lol...I'm off to work again today.. I did have yesterday off.. very random day..lots of little things done but can't really say I feel like I accomplished much of anything..not fond of this feeling... I did get alot of pics sorted on here and ready to put on discs or something to back them up.. something I have been putting off forever.. sad thing is just reminds me of all the ones I lost...but there are still alot to go thru..
Only artsy thing I did for the past few days is this little 5x7 canvas... has been in my head forever since I first did all those canvases...it needed a mermaid...lol This one is from MoonlightJourney.. isn't she sweet?

Otherwise.. everything is growing nicely.. love to see all the leaves out .. Yay! everything is finally green! I have the baskets done up and hanging on the house, have all the bird feeders back up.. so far have only seen one Hummingbird..but he's been around a lot and the finches are constantly fighting over at theirs.. One pair of robins are building their next right in the spruce tree in the yard so it's been fun watching them collect things for it.  It's been a rainy long weekend.. and today is abit windy and on the cool side... but there is supposed to be sun... gotta love that...

I've been MIA... there is Sunshine out there!!!

Good morning... the sun has been shining and it actually hit 24c.. so with this beautiful weather and 2 whole days off work with no specific things on the agenda.. it has been glorious!!!! a few minutes here and there at the computer was all I could stand... lol.. now laundry is not my favorite thing.. but when I can hang it out and it's so beautiful out.. it is loverly... so did most of the bedding in the house...one flower bed left to get the grass out of , there are actual leaves on the trees now and it's actually time to cut grass...Yay! (I know really? lol) and  it's back to work today but not till 2 so still some sunshine time to enjoy...
I did get my tangle from last week colored... loving the lime green and blue...lol

I had finished my spread for the Creative Sistah's Travelling sketch book.. take a look at the button and see what lovelies everyone has been doing.. absolutely fantastic.. I feel so lucky to have joined this group of very talented ladies...

This lovely weather is supposed to last until saturday or sunday.. got my hummingbird feeder out .. now just to wait for one to show up... should be here anytime now.. the finches are back..so will  have to get their feeder out this morning too...amazing how absolutely wonderful everything is when the sun shines...lol I'm sure I will think of something else once this is posted.. but for now this is it.....

Hello... have missed you all....

Wow no blogger for a couple of days.. that was pretty weird.. not being able to do anything or comment anywhere.. glad it's fixed but it'll take me awhile to catch up on everyone's blogs...mostly I was working and I work saturday/sunday too.. not fun...lol
I did get a chance to do my challenge for I am the Diva   It's a new tangle called Oof.. very cool..but am thinking it needs some color...

I did manage to hit my first yard sale yesterday... and a quick stop at the thrift shop this morning.. oooh la la!! more stash.... lol isn't that bread box fabulous?? and those bowls.. can hardly wait to have a day to paint...

Really.. that's about it..I'm sure there are other things I had thought of while blogger was out.. but really need to start keeping notes...lol  The weekend is supposed to be warmer.. sure hope so.. there was actual snowflakes spotted today.. and some sleet in different areas...When will this end? So hoping that summer hasn't been cancelled again this year!! lol  The water in the southern part of the province is still rising.. it's the worst flood ever.. they are calling it the 300 year flood!! So much devastation, people being evacuated from their homes.. very scary...

Happy Mother's Day!!

A short post this morning.. just wanted to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day and introduce you to my Mom.. she has been gone now for almost 19 years.. and there isn't a day goes by that I don't miss her and think of her.. She was my best friend, funny, supportive.. so creative with everything.. painting, macrame, quilling, sewing, anything she touched....She was  the best cook ever..and nothing ever fazed her.. the best Amma ever.. my kids so missed out on her dying so young.. her most favorite thing was spending time with them... She would call on a friday and say.. It's a baking weekend.. need my helpers.. and away they would go.. these weekends always ended with a make your own sundae party..they loved it!

Thank you Mom.. for everything.. I love you and miss you...
These are the beautiful flowers my kids sent.. a lovely surprise...

The weekend has been fun..best Mother's Day present ever... Chaya and I have been cleaning flower beds.. raking grass, swinging, sliding,.. rained abit yesterday so we came in and made cookies... she loves her new princess rake.. and put it to good use...

Amazing how much she can carry...lol we had fun..

This and That....

Good morning.. I started a post yesterday morning.. but now it's in drafts and I have no clue as to how to finish it.. the day did not go quite as planned.. lately it seems like that is more the norm.. I did take a drive down to the lake after those few days of 70km winds.. sure enough.. blew the ice away .. this pile is about 20 ft high but because of the rain doesn't look all icy and chunky which looks way cooler than this big pile of smush.. but doesn't the lake look gorgeous?

I finished my "Royal Wedding" tangle for over at I am the Diva..I started off knowing what patterns I'd seen at the cathedral and then lost the "plan" and just filled it in...lol

Yikes... just realized what time is it.. somehow it's soooo hard for me to get to work for 9..lol and it's not like I'm not up.. just 10 seems to work so much better for me..lol

Happy Blizzard Day!

I wasn't going to post anything today.. it's just way too depressing...but then thought just maybe sharing would make me feel better... so far no but I'll bet you're way more thankful for your day today! lol The wind is still howling like crazy but it has finally stopped snowing.. I took this pic this morning.. but there's been more since..lol and it doesn't show the blowing snow..well maybe if you look far away....

The show was good.. more peeps would have been nicer but it was a miserable day, absolutely pouring heavy rain all day. Love when kids are shopping for Mother's day.. they are so cute.. hope their moms are happy with their choices...It was great to catch up with alot of friends/vendors that you haven't seen since the last christmas sale.. so alot of visiting went on as well.. Thinking you'll probably say.. hmmmm I've seen this booth before..lol I do have this sale's booth set up down to a quick science already.. and there is really new things in there.. honest.. see my crazy camera changed the date again???

I started feeling like I was getting a cold at work on friday..it  just got worse all weekend  and now I think a trip to the dr's is probably in the forecast for tomorrow... my ribs are so sore from coughing.. so today has been a lazy piddle around with things kinda day.. has been nice sorta..and at least I don't feel like I'm missing hanging out in the sun on a beautiful day..lol
I know there was something else I was going to say... but it's gone so ... will probably remember after I hit post..lol isn't that always the way??

P.s. I knew I'd remember... and here it is... not sure how it's fared with the snow.. but here's my little viola blooming before the snowstorm..
